Dr. Tisa McGhee is an Associate Professor at Barry University’s School of Social Work, with over 20 years’ experience in the field of social work. Her research is community based with a focus on both macro and clinical social work practice. Her practice interests includes child welfare, working with families in trauma, and domestic/family violence. The core of her work is Building community through engaging and empowerment techniques. Dr. McGhee hold a PhD in Social Work, focused on macro organizational capacity in Social Work. Dr. McGhee collaboratively designs strategies for individuals, groups, organizations and communities to respond effectively to change and has worked with multiple communities and policymakers.
